An Unusual 19thc Artists Easel

Description

A 19thC beechwood artists easel made specifically for unframed canvasses. It has a brass rod and clamp mechanism for securing the canvas in place when painting in the field, reducing the dangers of wind. It has all its original components and brass fittings. It can accomodate canvasses of 60 x 70 cm easily as shown in the photographs. Larger or smaller are possible depending on requirements. It is fully adjustable and will stand about 170 cm high folding down to a portable 100 cm in length. Nice brass components all totally original and fully functional. Also perfect for internal display.
