Antique Victorian Bamboo Occasional Table C.1890

Description

A simple, understated late Victorian bamboo occasional table of rectangular form raised on gently splayed legs united by a lower tier and reinforced with typical decorative cross braces below the tabletop. Wonderfully original with excellent colour, showcasing the fashionable Aesthetic Movement’s Anglo-Japanese influence of the period.

Presented in very good antique condition with only some minor wear to the original woven surfaces consistent with age and use. Structurally all in good order, clean and ready to place in the home.
