Superb C19th French kingwood marble top centre table; exceptional gilt bronze mounts; the top of circular form with projecting corners having the striking ''Breche Violet'' marble top housed in a gilt brass moulding, above the sweeping frieze with gilt bronze Rocaille design embellishments. Raised on elegant cabriole legs having large finely cast gilt bronze classical female heads, being unusual that the heads are different subjects. The whole of the table having slender gilt bronze moulded edges and the legs terminating in original bronze sabots. The table stands slightly taller than the norm, giving a strong presence.
