Description

A rustic Victorian pine side table or writing table with simple, well-proportioned form. The table has a rectangular top with a warm, natural pine finish that shows the grain and character of the wood. Below the top are two drawers, each fitted with brass cup handles. The table stands on turned legs, solid and sound. Recently finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.

CONDITION REPORT:

The table is solid and sturdy, with all joints sound. The surface shows marks and colour variation consistent with age and use. There are also traces of previous painted finishes evident to the drawer fronts (pictured). In areas where it has previously been stripped, there is some subtle variation in the grain.
