Description

A remarkable antique reference volume — Webster’s International Dictionary of the English Language, published in London by George Bell & Sons and G. & C. Merriam Co., Springfield, Mass., U.S.A., 1907.

Edited under the supervision of Noah Porter, D.D., LL.D., with supplement and appendix by W. T. Harris, Ph.D., LL.D.

This is the Authorized Edition, beautifully bound in dark embossed cloth with gilt spine lettering and publisher’s crest. A substantial and impressive book, it includes a supplement of 25,000 words and phrases, making it one of the most complete early 20th-century English dictionaries.

Very good antique condition — minor wear to cover edges and corners, binding tight, pages clean and well-preserved with some age toning.
