Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Quartetto tables are a specific set of four nesting tables designed to slide neatly beneath one another on slender wooden runners. Developed during the late eighteenth century and popularised by cabinetmakers like Thomas Sheraton, they were created to provide flexible entertainment surfaces in drawing rooms without cluttering floor space.

Authentic Georgian and Regency period pieces were primarily crafted from fine hardwoods such as mahogany, rosewood, or satinwood. Construction features often included thin veneer borders, boxwood or ebony stringing, and delicate turned supports designed for strength despite their lightweight appearance.

Look for graduation in dimensions that allow exact sliding, hand-cut dovetail joints on the table aprons, and thin wooden grooves along the underside of the frames. Genuine period examples often feature ring-turned or faux-bamboo legs connected by subtle rear stretchers for structural rigidity.

Position the complete stack beside an armchair or sofa end to function as a compact side table. During social gatherings, unstack the individual tables to create multiple surfaces for drinks and books across seating areas.

Dust surfaces regularly with a soft, dry lint-free cloth, wiping along the natural grain. Apply a high-grade beeswax polish annually to protect the French polish or varnish finish, and keep the tables away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent timber movement or bleaching.
