Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this Herend Porcelain Tea Caddy to the 1920s.
This pattern was developed as a tribute to the Japanese Imari and Chinese Qing dynasty porcelain of the 18th century, reflecting Herend’s tradition of reinterpreting Far Eastern design for the European market.

The base bears the blue Herend shield, “HANDPAINTED” and factory numerals.
Examples of this pattern are increasingly scarce on the market and highly regarded by collectors for their decorative and historical appeal.
