A Victorian mahogany writing table dating to around 1870. The rectangular top is framed with a moulded edge and inset with a tooled tan leather writing surface. Two drawers with turned wooden knobs sit beneath, flanked by matching escutcheons. Raised on elegant tapering legs with ring-turnings and original brass castors, the piece balances formality with utility. Well-proportioned and practical, typical of British 19th-century writing furniture.
