A fine quality antique Victorian burr walnut and part ebonised parquetry inlaid writing table by JAS Shoolbred dating from circa 1870. In Louis XV revival design the wonderful parquetry inlaid rectangular top with serpentine edges above a deep apron with corresponding inlay and raised on slender tapering cabriole legs decorated with gilt metal mounts and terminating in gilt metal feet. It has a single frieze drawer to the front stamped with makers mark for JAS Shoolbred & Co.
