A fine 19th century French mahogany occasional table of oval form, c.
Elegant and delicately proportioned, this piece combines refined craftsmanship with classical decorative motifs, perfect for use as a lamp table, side table, or accent piece in a sophisticated interior.

The shaped brass-bound top features a central marquetry bouquet of flowers, surrounded by satinwood stringing and rosewood banding, set within a scrolled border. Below, a frieze drawer is adorned with finely detailed gilt mouldings and set between cabriole legs headed with striking rams' head mounts and terminating in ornate sabots.

This table is a superb example of 19th century French decorative furniture, showcasing both the artistry of inlay work and the sculptural quality of ormolu embellishment.
