Description

This 19thC French Mahogany Gueridon Occasional Table has a sophisticated style to it. Being of a triple column design with a tri-form concave platform base all of which is veneered in figured Mahogany, of a good rich colour that works so well with the gilt mounts. The mounts themselves are very finely chased and show crisp detailing.

The dark grey mottled marble top adds a degree of usability to it, providing a good-sized surface area. This table would work well in both a traditional or more contemporary interior design.

Presented in excellent restored condition, the only thing to note is that the marble top has a historic repair to it.

This nineteenth-century French Empire gueridon occasional table follows a triple-column design with a tri-form concave platform base, all veneered in figured mahogany of a rich warm brown colour. The round dark grey mottled marble top provides a practical surface area, supported by three cylindrical legs detailed with finely chased ormolu mounts and gilt collars at the top and base, terminating in simple rounded feet. Measuring 76 cm high by 58 cm wide and 58 cm deep, the piece works well at the end of a sofa in either a traditional or a more contemporary interior. The restored surface presents a historic repair to the marble top alongside crisp detailing on the gilt metalwork.
