Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the 18th Century.

Believed to be French or Belgium and probably 18th century, a hand carved limestone pinnacle section from an important church or cathedral, possible Caen Stone.
The naturally weathered limestone surface reveals an even lichen patination and mostly in excellent condition, please note a repair to the top section, no pieces are missing, sitting well and even with 4 felt pads to the underside of base.
