A fine quality Victorian book slide by Parkins and Gotto of Oxford Street, mounted with stunning pietra dura panels. The book slide is the finest quality, veneered in exotic coromandel wood with an ebonized edge to the base. The ends have been applied with beautiful pietra dura panels depicting floral sprays of jasmine and forget-me-nots, these are framed in gilt bronze mounts. The whole is the finest quality and in very good antique condition with a great patina, only the end caps at the side of the bottom of the base are missing.
