Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The Arts and Crafts movement, spanning roughly from 1880 to 1920, emphasised traditional craftsmanship, simple forms, and the natural aesthetic of materials such as oak, often avoiding excessive ornamentation in favour of honest construction.

These utility items were predominantly made from solid hardwoods like oak, mahogany, or walnut, frequently paired with metal drip trays crafted from zinc, copper, or cast iron to catch rainwater.

Authentic pieces typically feature period-correct joinery, natural timber patination, traditional fixings, and genuine wear to the interior drip trays consistent with age and practical use.

Positioning a wooden stick stand in a modern entranceway adds grounding texture and organic warmth, contrasting clean architectural lines with functional historic craftsmanship.

Maintain the wood by dusting with a dry microfibre cloth and periodically applying a quality beeswax to nourish the grain, while avoiding excessive moisture and direct sunlight.
