We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This late 19th-century French Chateau style jardiniere table comes in warm brown mahogany with detailed floral marquetry inlay across the body and the removable top panel. The rectangular form has an original liner surrounded by a pierced brass gallery rail, complemented by decorative cast brass mounts on the corners and slender cabriole legs. Additional visible details include serpentine aprons with floral wood inlay, scrolling brass handles on the separate lid, and slender curved legs ending in small feet. The piece measures 81 cm high, 69 cm wide, and 46 cm deep. It functions well as a plant stand or decorative display table in a bay window, living room, or hallway.

A 19th-century jardiniere table is an ornamental indoor planter stand designed to hold floral displays, often crafted with decorative marquetry, metal liners, and brass gallery rails.

These pieces are constructed using fine cabinet woods such as mahogany, rosewood, and kingwood, combined with decorative brass or bronze mounts and removable zinc or tin liners.

Authentic pieces feature hand-cut marquetry veneers, curved cabriole legs, cast brass or bronze mounts along the knees and feet, and natural oxidisation on older metal elements.

Place the table near natural light filled with indoor foliage, or keep the fitted top cover in place to use the piece as an occasional side table.

Keep live plants within sealed pots or the internal liner to protect the wood from water damage, dust metal mounts with a soft cloth, and polish timber surfaces with natural bees wax.
