Small 17thc Needlework

17th century
Description

A fine needlework in wools and silks on a silk background depicting a central bird with floral display and a butterfly, beautiful work in good condition with minimal fading, some small holes to the background silk as is common with works of this early date. A piece of great charm that was probably a panel from a casket, in a Dutch style wavy black frame with gold slip, some repair to the frame.
