A late 17th century carved oak corbel in the style of a Medieval man, possibly Continental.

This carved corbel in the style of a Medieval man wears a hat or headdress with scrolling decoration to the top, leading down to scroll decoration to the sides with carved quatrefoil and scroll design below.

The corbel has a metal ring to the reverse if you wish to hang it to a wall.

This corbel is in very good condition for age and can go straight into a home or collection.

Provenance: Private collection of renowned antiques collector.
