Pair of late C19th/ early C20th French ormolu-mounted ‘Cippolino’ marble vases.

Opulent bright ormolu bronze mounts with floral swags to the tapering ovoid marble bodies, raised on socle supports with ormolu leaf mounts onto square block bases with beaded ormolu rings . The dome-top fixed ‘lids’ with cast ormolu berry finials and shaped twin loop handles . The distinctive light green marble with attractive figuring and striations.

In excellent original condition with no damage or repairs.

A smart pair of cassolette type Louis XVI period style marble vases for use perhaps on a mantelpiece or console table.
