Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This unusual pair of large round ceramic chargers originates from 1880 during the Victorian Aesthetic Movement. Each piece is crafted from glazed ceramic finished with a vibrant Imari colour palette of cobalt blue, iron red, and orange, accented by a gilded rim. The surface displays an intricate Imari floral pattern, a central rosette medallion, and a diaper lattice border along the edge. The upper charger is positioned upright while the lower rests horizontally, showcasing identical surface artistry on each plate. Measuring 4 cm high, 37.5 cm wide, and 37.5 cm deep, these sizable decorative platters add traditional English Country House character when displayed on a sideboard top or mounted within a dining room scheme today.

Imari ceramics originated in Arita, Japan, and are characterized by a distinct colour palette featuring cobalt blue underglaze, iron red enamel, and gilded accents. European potteries extensively adopted this style throughout the nineteenth century.

These decorative pieces are constructed from glazed earthenware or fine bone china, decorated using hand-applied cobalt underglaze, overglaze enamel paintwork, and gilded detailing.

Authentic Mintons items display impressed or printed factory marks on the underside, often accompanied by a year mark code that establishes the exact manufacturing date.

They can be positioned on plate stands along a dining sideboard, integrated into a gallery wall arrangement, or arranged inside an open-shelf cabinet to introduce rich colour and pattern.

Clean gilded ceramics by gently wiping them with warm water and a mild detergent using a non-abrasive soft cloth. Avoid dishwasher use and harsh chemicals that can strip delicate gilding and enamel.
