Fine 17thc Needlework

A beautiful needlework in silks, depicting a lady placing a cloak on a gentleman’s shoulders, a small dog is in the corner on a chequered floor, in the right hand corner is a castle with a wonderful sun with facial features, a detailed and accomplished work that has kept its colour reasonably well though obviously some fading has occurred. The piece is in good condition with just a couple of small tears to the background silk. In a good cushioned walnut frame.
