This Georgian style round mahogany planter dates from 1930. The piece takes a circular form constructed in warm brown timber, encircled by two brass binding hoops secured with small studs, and fitted with an internal zinc metal liner. Two cast brass lion mask ring handles are mounted on opposite sides for carrying. The body rests on four short turned block feet finished with rounded collars.
