Pair Derby Figures Of Minuetters, C. 1780.

A rare pair of Derby porcelain figures of ‘Minuetters’, c. 1780. Each figure finely modelled, wearing elaborate 18th Century costume, and adopting the positions to perform the ‘Minuet’.
 
Set upon rococo scroll bases, with each figure standing before flowering bushes.
 
Crossed swords marks to both figures, and incised model number N317 beneath the figure of the girl.
 
Height – 18.5 cm, 7 1/4”.
 
Width – 10.2 cm, 4”.
 
Depth – 7.6 cm, 3”.
 
Condition – Typical minor chips to flowers. Otherwise excellent condition.
