A fabulous French 19th century fruitwood farmhouse table which has extendable leaves at both ends bringing the open length to nearly 4 metres and allowing a family of 12 to 14 to dine together, this will make a wonderful piece for festive meals.
- Leaves pull out from the ends and rest on a single leg which is hinged beneath and fits into the frame when not extended.
- Planked top with wide surrounding border mitred at the corners.
- Breadboard ends at both extremities of the planked leaves.
- Beautiful colour to the fruitwood.
This is a great farmhouse table which can be used in a large kitchen diner, but which will also work well in a formal dining room. With both leaves extended, it will cater for up to 14 people and is ideal for a family gathering.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There are some signs of old woodworm, which is no longer active, at one end of the table adding to the character expected from a 19th century French piece.
