Description

This is a good bronze mortar with its original double sided pestle with knopped handle in very nice original condition dating from the late 18th century circa 1780.

The mortar and pestle are in great order ready for continued use or display. This is a good size measuring 11 cms high and 13 cms in diameter. It has a good weight also, being 1.86 kgms overall.

We currently have another much larger mortar and pestle available and they look great together. (See last photo).

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
