This charming CHAMBERLAINS WORCESTER PORCELAIN COTTAGE PASTILLE BURNER dates from circa 1820.

It bears the mark Chamberlains Worcester, in script, on the inside of the lid, as was the case with the earlier pieces from this factory,

The condition is good. There is an old hairline between two holes in the base and some smoke staining around two chimneys. There is no restoration.

This Georgian pastille burner takes the form of a porcelain cottage in the Regency style, originating from the Chamberlains Worcester factory around 1820. The piece is finished in a bright white glaze accented throughout with gold leaf, including gilded trim along the roof edge, double chimneys, a front door, and a dormer window. Hand-painted lattice patterns detail the windows, while the irregular base features a textured motif of gilt foliage over a white ground. The script factory mark appears on the interior of the lid.
