Antique Gilt Wood Frame 18th Century. No 49

Description

This is a good Antique gilt frame dating from the 18th century with a very nice patina to the original rubbed, gilded finish. The deep frame has a nice plain design and has its original hand forged metal hanger to the reverse.

The frame measures 46 cms by 38 cms by 5.5 cms overall.

The sight aperture is 32.5 by 24.2 cms. The rebate opening at the back to receive the painting is 34 cms by 26 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
