Parian Bust Of Prince Albert Edward By Copeland

A fine example of a parianware bust by Copeland depicting Prince Albert Edward, later Edward VII. The bust is taken from an original sculpture of the prince by Marshall Wood, with the prince wearing a roman toga. The piece is fully marked for Copeland and was produced for the Crystal Palace Art Union. The bust is a first-class piece of parianware beautifully modelled and finished. The whole is in excellent condition and dates to 1868.
