A striking Regency Chinoiserie lacquered 2 tier occasional table; having original black, gilt and red decoration; the rectangular top with rounded corners, finely decorated with a Chinese landscape scene incorporating a pagoda, bird in flight and a seated Chinaman. The top housed in a gilt brass moulding; above the shallow frieze of trailing foliage, raised on four slender turned supports, on the platform base having a scarlet lacquer panel with gilt butterflies and flowers. Surrounded by a wide chamfered moulding raised on turned tapering feet.
