Beautiful antique Royal Worcester blush figurine of an Irishman from the ''Countries of the World'' series designed by Royal Worcester chief modeler James Hadley.
The Irishman is depicted standing tall, with a confident attitude, his hands clasped behind his coat tails. He is portrayed wearing the traditional dress of a 19th Century rural Irishman. A short vest, knee breeches, knit socks, a tall hat with a band that holds his pipe, and sturdy, country walking shoes known as brogues. Marked on the underside with a Royal Worcester printed crown and circle mark and the date code for 1894; model number 835.
