A delightful pair of 18th century oval silk work pictures in their original faux tortoise shell frames, depicting pastoral scenes. A young girl carrying an open birdcage having freed the bird and a maiden/shepherdess at her spinning wheel amidst her flock of sheep! Worked in fine silk threads on to a silk ground with beautifully stitched floral borders. Circa 1780
