Victorian Staffordshire figures are earthenware ornaments produced in Staffordshire, England, during the nineteenth century, portraying popular celebrities, royalty, military leaders, and political personalities.

These figures were produced from earthenware clay using plaster moulds, which were either slip-cast or press-moulded before being fired, lead-glazed, and decorated with hand-painted enamel pigments.

Authentic nineteenth-century examples typically feature a hollow unglazed base, age-appropriate glazes with fine crazing, small moulding ventilation holes, and visible seam lines from press-moulding.

Victorian ceramics can be styled within modern interiors by grouping them along a mantelpiece, displaying them within open bookshelf arrangements, or contrasting them against contemporary dark wood surfaces.

Clean glazed earthenware gently using a dry microfibre cloth or a soft artist brush, avoiding full immersion in water or abrasive chemicals that may strip delicate overglaze enamels.
