FAQs

Drinks trolleys gained popularity in the late 19th century and experienced a major resurgence during the mid-20th century as home entertaining became a central social activity.

Traditional bar carts and trolleys are typically constructed from solid hardwoods such as cherry, mahogany, walnut, or oak, often paired with glass inserts, brass fixtures, and castors.

Authentic pieces can be identified by traditional joinery, high-quality timber grain, original hardware such as brass castors, and period-appropriate manufacturing techniques.

A vintage drinks trolley can be styled with crystal glassware, a selection of bottled spirits, a cocktail shaker, and a small decorative plant or vintage barware set.

Preserve wooden surfaces by dusting regularly with a soft cloth, avoiding placement in direct sunlight or near heat sources, and using coasters to prevent moisture rings.
