Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

This Edwardian magazine rack dates from around 1910, originating from a gentleman's library. It combines a gold-coloured brass tubular frame, a wire mesh basket, an arched carrying handle, and a polished warm brown mahogany base supported by a three-legged brass tripod stand. The piece revolves on its stand and remains firm and usable. In a contemporary home, this item serves as a practical storage accessory placed at the end of a sofa or by the side of a chair for holding magazines and periodicals. The dimensions are 79 cm in height, 14 cm in depth, and 38 cm in width.

A standing magazine rack, evolving from 19th-century Canterburys, is a freestanding accent piece engineered to hold periodicals, newspapers, and loose papers.

These stands were constructed using tubular brass frames, woven wire mesh panels, and solid hardwood bases such as mahogany or oak.

Authentic period examples feature drawn or cast brass tubing displaying natural oxidation, traditional threaded joinery beneath the wooden base, and heavy brass feet.

Position the rack beside an armchair, desk, or sofa in a living room or study to store current publications and reading materials.

Dust the brass frame regularly with a dry microfibre cloth to retain the surface patina, and apply a natural beeswax polish to the mahogany base to maintain the wood finish.
