FAQs

The Regency style, spanning roughly from 1811 to 1830, was heavily influenced by classical Greek, Roman, and Egyptian motifs, featuring clean lines, dark imported woods like mahogany, and symmetrical proportions.

Pembroke tables are typically constructed from dense timbers such as mahogany or satinwood, utilising dovetail joinery for drawers, hand-turned pedestals, and brass hardware including castors for mobility.

Authentic pieces exhibit period-appropriate hand-cut joinery, natural timber shrinkage, genuine brass castors with matching screws, and aged patination rather than artificial distress marks.

Its compact drop-leaf design allows it to function flexibly as a writing desk, hallway console, or intimate dining surface, contrasting effectively against contemporary minimalist walls.

Maintain timber health by keeping the item away from direct heat sources and sunlight, applying natural beeswax periodically, and avoiding silicone-based polishes.
