MebleinUK has dated this Regency Mahogany Pembroke Table to the 1850s.

The rectangular tabletop features wonderfully figured wood grain in warm reddish-brown tones, beautifully enhanced by contrasting geometric inlaid borders. The decorative detailing follows the edges of the tabletop and continues around the gracefully shaped drop leaves, creating a particularly attractive appearance.

The table incorporates two drop leaves, allowing it to be extended to provide a generous surface when required. When the leaves are lowered, the table becomes considerably narrower, making it a practical and versatile piece for a variety of interiors.

An especially interesting feature is the concealed drawer, discreetly incorporated into one end of the table. This provides useful storage while preserving the clean and symmetrical appearance of the design.

The table stands on an impressive twin-column pedestal base, incorporating two beautifully turned supports connected by a shaped wooden platform. Four elegantly curved sabre legs extend from the base, each terminating in a decorative metal lion's paw foot.

Width Open : 116 cm
The table is presented in very good antique condition for its age, retaining an attractive finish, rich colour and natural patina. There are various age related marks, minor scratches, areas of surface wear and small imperfections to the wood and finish, consistent with a piece of this age and visible in the photographs.
