Antique Georgian Style Burr Walnut Card Table | Games Table

Antique early 20th century demi lune card table in burr walnut, made in the Georgian style, an elegant and well-proportioned piece of excellent quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship.

The half-moon top folds over on brass hinges and is supported by a swing gate leg to open into a full circular playing surface, lined in baize within a crossbanded border. Closed, it makes a beautiful side or console table against a wall.

The top has a finely carved gadrooned edge, and the table stands on four slender cabriole legs, carved at the knees with acanthus leaves and scrolls and ending in ball and claw feet.

The burr walnut displays a stunning figured grain to the top and frieze, with a warm, golden colour and lovely patina.

Presented in good condition, a very desirable piece that works as both a games table and a hall or side table, and a perfect addition to any home.
