Qing dynasty low tables, often used as kang tables or daybeds, were traditionally placed on heated platforms or low platforms for seating, dining, and resting in Chinese homes.

These pieces are typically constructed using traditional joinery without nails, combining dense hardwoods such as elm, zitan, or huanghuali with woven rattan or paneled timber tops.

Authenticity is identified through traditional mortise and tenon joinery, natural wear patterns, aged patina on the wood, and hand-carved architectural motifs characteristic of the period.

It can be styled as a unique low-profile coffee table in a living room, serving as a focal point that introduces organic texture and historical depth to contemporary spaces.

Maintain stable indoor humidity to prevent wood cracking and rattan brittleness, avoid direct sunlight, and clean gently with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth without harsh chemicals.
