FAQs

Spanish antique tables from historical periods typically feature heavy timber construction, single-plank boards where available, and structural wrought iron stretchers designed for stability.

Chestnut, oak, and walnut were the primary hardwoods utilised by period cabinetmakers, frequently paired with hand-forged iron bracing.

Authenticity is assessed through joinery methods, natural oxidisation of the timber, hand-cut peg construction, and consistent wear patterns appropriate to the age of the piece.

Pairing a substantial antique timber table with minimalist modern seating creates a balanced contrast between historical weight and clean lines.

Maintain antique timber by avoiding direct sunlight, keeping ambient humidity stable, and applying microcrystalline wax sparingly to nourish the wood grain.
