Georgian porcelain is characterised by classical influences, refined hand-painted floral motifs, and generous use of gilding, reflecting the opulent tastes of the early 19th century.

These pieces were typically crafted from soft-paste or hard-paste porcelain, enriched with metallic oxide paints for vibrant floral decoration and hand-applied gold leaf.

Authenticity is identified through factory pattern numbers, specific potting shapes such as the gadroon edge, hand-painted brushwork nuances, and baseline wear consistent with age.

Antique porcelain trios are best displayed within glass-fronted cabinets, on open shelving as focal points, or utilised thoughtfully for high-end tablescapes.

Antique china should always be washed by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent, avoiding dishwashers and abrasive sponges to preserve the delicate gilding and hand-painted pigments.
