In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Victorian Staffordshire figures are earthenware ceramic ornaments produced in the Staffordshire potteries in England during the 19th century, famously displayed on mantelpieces by the middle classes.

These pieces were typically slip-cast or hand-pressed in earthenware clay, then hand-painted with underglaze colours and finished with a clear lead glaze before being kiln-fired.

Authentic pieces often feature characteristic crazing in the glaze, hollow interior construction, vent holes, hand-painted detailing, and typical flat unglazed bases, though makers marks are relatively rare.

They make excellent focal points when grouped on mantelpieces, bookshelves, or sideboards, adding a layer of historical character and colourful folk art charm to modern spaces.

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid submerging in water or using harsh chemical cleaners, as this can damage the fragile historic glaze and painted decoration.
