Anglo-Indian Hoshiarpur furniture refers to pieces crafted in the Punjab region of India during the British colonial period, characterised by intricate wood carving and delicate inlay work.

These tables are traditionally constructed from dense hardwoods such as shisham (Indian rosewood) or teak, heavily ornamented with inlaid bone, brass wire, or contrasting light woods.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit hand-carved geometric or floral motifs, minute brass pin or bone inlay work, and traditional joinery methods consistent with late 19th or early 20th-century craftsmanship.

An ornate piece works effectively as a contrasting focal point in a minimalist setting, pairing well with neutral upholstery or acting as a distinctive bedside or accent table.

Maintain the wood and inlay by dusting gently with a dry, soft cloth, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners, and periodically applying a micro-crystalline wax to protect the surface.
