Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

This unusual late 19th-century Rococo Revival centre table exhibits a giltwood construction with an overall gold finish, paired with Vienna porcelain plaques. The rectangular top is inset with a large central porcelain plaque depicting a fisherman in a boat with nymphs coming out of the waves, surrounded by smaller circular plaques and geometric white inlays. The frame displays elaborate relief mouldings, carved corner mounts with classical faces, and a textured lattice frieze. Supported by four slender cabriole legs, the piece also incorporates a crossed stretcher centred by a small round porcelain plaque and raised on scrolling feet. Measuring 74 cm high, 46 cm wide, and 30 cm deep, the table fits naturally as an occasional accent piece placed at the end of a sofa in a living room or as a decorative display surface in a study or hallway.

A Vienna porcelain mounted table is a decorative item of occasional furniture featuring inset porcelain plaques produced in the tradition of Viennese ceramics, typically mounted within a gilded wood or bronze framework.

These tables are traditionally constructed using carved hardwood, gold-leaf gilding, cast brass or bronze mounts, and hard-paste porcelain plaques painted with enamel glazes.

Authentic 19th-century pieces display hand-painted porcelain panels showing fine brushwork and glaze depth, age-appropriate wear to gilding on raised edges, and traditional joinery beneath the tabletop frame.

Place the table as an accent piece alongside neutral contemporary upholstery, allowing the gilded detailing and detailed artwork to serve as a focal point without overwhelming the surrounding decor.

Clean the porcelain panels gently using a slightly damp microfibre cloth, avoiding abrasive chemical cleaners, and dust the gilded wooden frame with a soft dry brush to prevent loss of leaf gold.
