Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Queen Anne style emerged in England during the late 17th and early 18th centuries, characterised by graceful curves, cabriole legs, and a focus on comfort and domestic utility rather than heavy ornamentation.

These pieces typically employ fine hardwoods like walnut, often featuring highly figured burr walnut veneers applied to secondary woods, joined using traditional mortise and tenon construction and dovetailing for drawers.

Authenticity is determined by examining timber shrinkage, hand-cut dovetails, tool marks, secondary wood types, and the natural ageing and patination of the surface polish.

Pairing historical wooden furniture with modern minimalist art, clean-walled backdrops, or contemporary lighting creates a balanced juxtaposition that highlights the craftsmanship of the antique.

Maintain stable indoor humidity levels, keep furniture away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and periodically apply appropriate beeswax or microcrystalline wax to nourish the timber.
