Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Hadley Ware refers to porcelain produced under the direction of James Hadley, a chief modeller for Royal Worcester who operated an independent studio before rejoining the factory in 1902. These vessels feature distinct moulded relief decoration, pale colour palettes, and hand-painted naturalistic subjects including game birds.

These decorative vessels were crafted from soft-paste or hard-paste porcelain, painted using overglaze enamel pigments, and finished with burnished gold leaf gilding. The bodies frequently incorporate raised slip or moulded scrollwork applied prior to firing.

Authenticity is verified by examining the underside for printed factory marks, including the standard Royal Worcester crown and circle stamp, date codes comprised of dots or letters, and artist signatures adjacent to the painted vignettes.

A decorative porcelain urn can be displayed on a sideboard top, mantelpiece, or inside a glazed display cabinet. Placing ceramic pieces on dark timber surfaces or against neutral backdrops highlights their glaze work and painted details.

Dusting should be conducted using a dry, soft-bristled brush to avoid snagging on raised gilding. Water and chemical detergents ought to be avoided, as liquid exposure can compromise delicate enamels and lead to gilding loss.
