Unusual Antique Brass Book Stand C1870

Description

This unusual and very decorative Victorian Brass Book Stand dates from circa 1870. It is fully adjustable in rake and has a page bar to hold the book leaves in place.

When closed there are three ball feet on which the stand rests. The Stand is marked with an impressed number 2 in three places.

It is original throughout.

The overall condition is good. There is a twist to the ledge on which the book rests, which can be seen in the photographs.

This book stand displays beautifully.
