Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Irish Regency furniture, produced roughly between 1800 and 1830, combines classical Neo-palladian proportions with distinctively robust carving details, often incorporating dense imported mahogany timber and bold architectural lines.

These pieces were predominantly crafted from solid and veneered mahogany, valued for its dense grain and rich hue, complemented by hand-turned leg detailing and carved timber brackets.

Key indicators include deeply carved leg brackets, reeded or fluted turned legs, substantial scale, and dark mahogany wood characteristic of Dublin and Cork cabinetmakers of the early 19th century.

A Regency serving table functions as a hallway console table or as a side server in a formal dining room, pairing effectively with contemporary artwork hung directly above the tabletop.

Dust surfaces regularly with a soft dry cloth and apply a natural beeswax polish sparingly once or twice a year, avoiding chemical spray polishes and direct heat sources.
