Linthorpe Art Pottery was established in 1879 in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, by John Harrison in collaboration with Dr Christopher Dresser. Active until 1889, the pottery was noted for its innovative glaze effects, organic forms, and pre-industrial manufacturing aesthetic rooted in the British Arts and Crafts movement.
