A Very Rare Shop Display .

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very rare and unusual toy shop window display.

Farther Xmas riding a reindeer which rocks back and forth on a stand with a heavy pendulum-type weight which keeps it rocking for some time .

The raindeers head goes up and down farther Xmas head and arms move with the rocking.

I have been told it was in a shop in Alnwick Northumberland and used up to the 1960sthen stored in the basement until recently.

I can send a video of it working if you're very interested.

It is big standing at 6 feet 6 inches tall and 3 feet 8 inches wide.

I have not done anything to clean it just exactly as I bought it.

The price is £1500 and I'm not interested in offers for anything less.

The pictures show the tail as green but it's white, when I put the background colour in to show it better it changed the tail colour !!!.

I think it's circa 1900 to 1920.

It is all metal apart from the reins.
