Superb French Suitcase

1920 - 1940
Description

An exceptionally stylish large suitcase dating from c.1930s. This beautiful portmanteau has protecting strips to all edges, its original leather handle, a solid brass lock mechanism (no key), and two working catches that keep the lid securely fastened. Inside it is lined with what is almost certainly the original Art Deco paper lining. It is a stunning example and one that would gracefully complement any fine vintage luggage collection. It is by Marcel Plé of Rouen in Normandy, France.
