They are decorated with hand-painted fruit motifs, scalloped borders, reticulated pierced rims, and moulded handles, with some chips restored. Individual items measure 20.32 cm high, 20.32 cm wide, and 5.08 cm deep. Creamware was developed in Staffordshire, England, during the mid-18th century as a refined alternative to porcelain. The lightweight, cream-coloured lead-glazed earthenware became widely adopted for complete dessert and dinner services across European households.
